Summer family camping dates at Caskey's Family Campground  SCOUTS THAT ATTEND A COMBINATION OF THREE SUMMER CAMP EVENTS WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL HAND MADE TOTEM TO WEAR ON THEIR UNIFORM NEXT YEAR. These can include day camp, family camps and WRC. 

July 23rd - 25th "What path will you follow?" Scouts that attend the Saturday sessions will be working on their orienteering skills. This will include tools of the past and present. Skills will be taught in map/compass reading, GPS, sundial use. Each scout will be given their very own compass to keep. Please let Brad Welch know if your son plans to be part of the compass reading activities as we need to purchase the proper number of items. The scouts will also be making wooden sundials to decorate and keep. Any scouts that attend the 10am session will be entered in a drawing to win a special sundials to be drawn at Saturday evenings campfire.

Schedule of events:

Friday
7:00pm - bedtime Fellowship sitting around the campfire.

Saturday
7:30 am breakfast of pancakes, sausage or bacon will be provided
10am - 11:30 Making and reading sundials
11:30 - 12:30 Lunch on your own
12:30 - 2:00 Compass use and activities 
2:00 - 3:30 GPS use and activities
3:30 - 5:30 Free time... fish swim, play games
5:30 - 6:30 Suppertime... hot dogs and chips provided
6:30 - bedtime Free time, fellowship and campfire.

Sunday
AM depart for home

Several leaders will be at Caskey's Friday evening if you feel like camping both nights. We will have the event rain or shine. We have the pavilion and fish pond on reserve. The cost is $8 per day/night combo per tent. Or if you are not staying overnight... the cost is only $4 per family per day. This includes the playground, all scouting activities, swimming (it the weather permits) and the fishing derby. Money will be collected by our leaders.

We will have plenty of drinking water and lemonade. You will have to bring your own food, charcoal and snacks. We will be providing a hardy meal Saturday night consisting of hot dogs (on the grill or open fire), chips and drinks.



September 17th - 19th "Got Skills?" At this camp out, scouts will learn methods of outdoor cooking and scout skills. We will also be playing outdoor games.
